Wat toont een plagiaatchecker?
Het vindt potentiële bronpagina's voor exacte zin citaten. Novaverb stuurt tot drie representatieve zinnen naar de bestaande SERP-provider en retourneert de echte URL, titel en korte snippet. Een resultaat is een lead voor beoordeling, geen juridische plagiaat uitspraak.

Slaat het mijn tekst op?
Nee. De volledige passage wordt alleen verwerkt voor het verzoek. Alleen een quotacounter en teruggegeven bron-URL's worden behandeld; de passage wordt niet opgeslagen.
How does this plagiarism check work?
It takes selected sentences from your passage and searches for them as exact quotes through a live search provider, then shows the pages that came back with their URLs and snippets. It compares against what that provider has indexed - not against a private academic database.
What does a result of no matches mean?
That the searched sentences were not found in the provider's index. It is not proof the text is original: sources behind a login, in a PDF that was never indexed, or paraphrased rather than copied will not surface.
Why did it flag a sentence I wrote myself?
Common phrasing, quotations, legal or technical boilerplate and standard definitions appear on many pages. A match tells you the wording exists elsewhere; whether that matters depends on context and attribution, which only you can judge.
Does duplicate content cause a Google penalty?
Ordinary duplication is a consolidation problem, not a punishment: search engines pick one version to show and the rest earn nothing. That is a real cost, and a canonical tag is usually the fix. Scraped or wholesale-copied sites are a separate matter.
Can I use this result to accuse someone?
No. This surfaces potential sources for a human to inspect. Any decision about misconduct needs the original source read in full, the dates checked and the attribution examined - none of which a search result can settle.
