What this markup does, and what it does not do
Structured data describes a page to a search engine in a machine-readable form. Valid markup makes a page eligible to be understood and, for some types, eligible for a richer result. It does not entitle a page to one: the search engine decides whether to show a rich result, and it can decline even when the markup is perfect.
Where to put the output
Paste the script tag into the HTML head, or anywhere in the body, of the single page the markup describes. JSON-LD does not need to sit next to the content it describes, which is why it is the format this tool emits. One page can carry several blocks - for example an Article block and a Breadcrumb block.
The markup must match the visible page
Every value you enter should be something a visitor can see on that page. Markup that describes content the page does not show is a structured-data violation and can cost the site its rich results, so copy the real headline, the real price and the real questions rather than an improved version of them.
After you paste it
- Validate the page with the Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator - this tool checks the shape it builds, not the page you paste it into.
- Confirm the block is actually served: view the rendered page source, not the editor preview.
- Re-check after a template or plugin change, which is when a block most often disappears.

Why is there no rating or review field?
Because a rating typed into a form is a claim nobody checked. Review and rating markup must come from reviews the site genuinely collected and displays; inventing one is against Google's structured-data policy, it is the most common reason a site loses rich results, and in several markets it is also an advertising-law problem. This generator leaves the field out rather than offer you the chance to make that mistake.
Will this get me a rich result in Google?
It makes the page eligible where the type supports one. Eligibility is not a guarantee - the search engine chooses whether to show a rich result for a given query, and quality, policy and page-level signals all feed that decision. Anyone promising you a rich result from markup alone is selling something they do not control.
Should I use JSON-LD, Microdata or RDFa?
JSON-LD, which is what this tool emits. It sits in a single block instead of being woven through the HTML, and it survives template changes that would otherwise break attribute-level markup.
Why are some properties missing from my output?
Fields you left empty are omitted entirely rather than written as an empty value. A property present with no value is a claim the page cannot support, and validators treat it as an error. Fill the field to see the property appear.
Can one page have more than one schema block?
Yes. A product page commonly carries a Product block and a BreadcrumbList block; an article carries Article and Breadcrumb. Generate each one separately and paste both. Do not describe the same thing twice in two blocks - that is where conflicting values come from.
Does the markup need to be in the head?
No. JSON-LD is valid anywhere in the document, head or body. What matters is that it is present in the HTML the crawler receives - markup injected only after your JavaScript runs may not be read.
